The guest list template
A spreadsheet that still works in twelve months. One row per person, plus-ones with names, surnames in their own column, and a place to say which celebration each guest is invited to.

What is inside
Three sheets, filled in with an obviously invented example you should delete.
- 1Guests — one row per person, with the columns that matter later
- 2Celebrations — the celebrations, so a guest can be invited to one and not another
- 3How to use this — the seven rules above, in the file, where you will actually read them
The rules that make it survive
- One row per person — never per household. “Familia Ejemplo, 4” cannot be seated or counted.
- Name the plus-ones. A row called “+1” is a row you will have to reconcile later.
- Keep first names and surnames in separate columns, so a guest can be found by either.
- Put the celebrations a guest is invited to in one cell, separated by a semicolon.
- “Seats” is how many places the invitation is for, including the guest themselves.
- “Language” decides which language their invitation and RSVP page should arrive in.
- Delete the example rows before you start. They are fiction.
