What we collect, why, and how to get it back.

What we collect

Account data: your name, email, and password (stored hashed).

Wedding data you enter: celebrations, checklist, vendors, and the guest list and RSVP responses you or your guests provide (names, contact, dietary notes, messages).

Basic technical data needed to run and secure the Service.

How we use it

To provide Lazo: run your dashboard, publish your pages, deliver RSVPs, and send the invitation and announcement emails you choose to send.

We do not sell your data or your guests’ data, ever.

Who processes it

We use trusted processors to run the Service: Vercel (hosting), Neon (the database), Cloudflare R2 (the photographs and files you upload), and Resend (email delivery). They process data only to provide their service to us, under contract, and none of them may use it for anything of their own.

When you search for a venue or a hotel address, the words you type are sent to a map provider to answer the search. We send the search text and nothing else — not your guest list, not your account, not who you are.

Where your data is

Your data is stored and processed in the United States. The company behind Lazo is incorporated there, and so are the services it runs on — the database, the hosting, the file storage and the mail sender are all US-based.

If you are in Mexico, that is an international transfer of your personal data, and Mexican data-protection law requires us to say so rather than let you assume otherwise. By using Lazo you consent to it. It is necessary to provide the service: there is no version of Lazo that keeps your guest list on a server we do not use.

It changes nothing about your rights. Everything in “Your rights” below applies to data held in the United States exactly as it would to data held in Mexico, and we hold our providers to it by contract.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete guests, weddings, or your account; deletions are honored and removed data isn’t retained beyond what backups and law require.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Write to hello@lazo.wedding and we’ll help. This aligns with Mexico’s LFPDPPP and, where applicable, GDPR-style rights.
